FAQ

Common questions about how EduMatch LB works

How does EduMatch LB work for students and families?

Families sign up free and browse verified teacher profiles across Lebanon by subject, city, level, rating, and hourly rate. Every profile shows education, experience, subjects taught, and past reviews so you can compare teachers side by side. You can message teachers directly through the platform to discuss schedule, format (in person or online), and the first lesson. EduMatch LB does not take a per-session cut, so what you pay is what the teacher charges.

How are teachers verified before they go live?

Every teacher profile is reviewed manually by the EduMatch LB team before it appears in search results. We check identity and contact information, education and subject credentials, and the quality and completeness of the profile. Teachers who do not meet the verification bar are not published. This is the core trust signal families rely on when comparing teachers in Beirut, Tripoli, Jounieh, and other Lebanese cities.

Is EduMatch LB free to use?

Yes. Families and students sign up free, browse free, and message teachers free. Teachers also join free with the standard listing plan and keep one hundred percent of their tutoring fees. EduMatch LB does not charge booking fees or take a per-session cut. Optional paid plans give teachers stronger visibility on category and search pages, but they are never required to use the platform.

Can I find online teachers as well as in-person ones?

Yes. Many teachers on EduMatch LB offer both in-person and online sessions, which helps families work around school schedules and traffic. Online sessions let families anywhere in Lebanon hire the strongest teacher in the country, not just whoever is geographically close. The dedicated online category page makes it easy to filter for teachers who explicitly offer remote sessions.

How quickly can I book my first tutoring session?

Most teachers on EduMatch LB respond within a day, often within a few hours. After you message a teacher, you can usually agree on the first lesson time, format, and any prep work the student should bring. For exam-period support around Brevet, BAC, SAT, or IELTS, it is best to start the conversation a few weeks before the exam window so the teacher can plan a proper study schedule.
